Old World Santas
Old world Santas are generally depicted with a long outer coat over a belted dress. Sometimes a long outer cape is used instead. His beard is usually long and made up of a variety of colors from dark gray to light blond, but may also be the standard white.
He might carry a staff, lantern, Christmas tree or other prop. Esentially, when we think of old (also spelled olde) world Santas, it is this image of him in long flowing garments. When creating your own Santa doll of this type, the sky's the limit with costuming. But, if you want to go the extra mile, you may want to some research
how to dress a particular Santa from another country or based on one of his many legends.
